Miami’s Newest Millionaire: Man Wins $2M In Scratch-Off Game
Jorge De La Vega, 54 won the $2 million top prize playing Florida Lottery's $2,000,000 50X CASHWORD scratch-off game.
MIAMI, FL — A 54-year-old Miami man won a top $2 million prize from the $2,000,000 50X CASHWORD scratch-off game, the Florida Lottery said in a news release.
Jorge De La Vega chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $1.76 million. He claimed his prize at Florida Lottery’s Miami district office.
De La Vega purchased his winning ticket from Supertony Oil Inc. at 13701 Southwest 42nd Street in Miami. The retailer will receive a $4,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.

$2,000,000 50X CASHWORD, a $10 game, launched in December 2020 and features more than $229 million in cash prizes, including eight top prizes of $2 million. The game's overall odds of winning are 1-in-3.37.
