Miami Shoppers Keep Holiday Spirit, Tempers in Check
Black Friday brings out throngs of shoppers around the Miami area.

Thanksgiving and Black Friday across the Miami area brought throngs of shoppers looking for this year's hard-to-find toys, Ultra HD televisions, mobile phones, tablets, sneakers, sheets and just about everything that people would normally buy, but at a deeply discounted price.
Not all prices are the lowest of the season, but that didn't deter Miamians like Jill Leiva of Miramar from her annual shopping mission.
She enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner with her family on Thursday and then headed straight for Toys"R"Us, JCPenney and Target armed with a handful of old-school circulars.

"All the staff was very nice and helpful in all the stores. It wasn't chaotic," she told Patch. "The people in line were mostly patient except one lady at JCPenney in the kids' department checkout line who was arguing with the lady behind her about skipping the line."
Most people, though kept their holiday spirit and their tempers in check.
"Everyone just wanted a deal," Leiva added.

It was not uncommon to see children napping in their parent's shopping carts.
The parking lot at BrandsMart USA on NW 167 Street was jammed on Thanksgiving night.
Some people took to social media to share their holiday shopping experiences:
I don't understand why they have all these winter clothes on Black Friday yo I live in Miami
