MIAMI, FL — The FBI is searching for a bank-robbing couple who held up two different Miami banks just seven minutes apart on Thursday. The woman struck first at the Bank of America branch on Flagler Street while the man hit the One United Bank branch on 79th Street. The robberies took place at 2:33 p.m. and 2:40 p.m. respectively.

The FBI did not say whether the couple was working together or if the timing was a coincidence. The banks are located about eight miles from one another. The Bank of America is located at 150 W Flagler Street while the One United Bank branch is at 3275 NW 79th St.

In both cases, "the robber entered the bank and demanded money from a bank employee," according to Special Agent Michael Leverock and spokesman Jim Marshall of the FBI in Miami. (Sign up for our free Daily Newsletters and Breaking News Alerts for the Miami Patch.)
