Trump told WSJ that it was “a very good poll.”
Discussing his relationship with DeSantis, he added, “I get along with Ron very well.”
He also took responsibility for the governor's 2018 election, saying, “If I didn’t endorse him, he wouldn’t have won."
Neither Trump nor DeSantis have announced a presidential campaign, though former president has hinted at it.
Speaking at a rally in Arizona Friday, according to the Daily Mail, Trump told those in the audience, “I ran twice, I won twice, and did much better the second time than I did the first, getting millions. more votes in 2020 than we got in 2016. And likewise, getting more votes than any sitting president in the history of our country by far.”
He added, “And now, we may have to do it again,' he continued. 'I mean, look at, look at what has happened to our country in less than two years. Our country is like a different — it's like a different place. It's so sad to see.”
