Watch: Motorcycles, ATVs Pop Wheelies To Protest Gun Violence
Brazen ATV and dirt bike riders took to the streets again as part of the yearly "Bikes Up Guns Down" event.
MIAMI, FL — Brazen ATV and dirt bike riders took to the streets in droves again on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, popping wheelies, driving against the flow of traffic and otherwise ignoring traffic ls as part of a yearly tradition dubbed “Bikes Up Guns Down.” The annual event is meant to speak out against gun violence.
The stunts on Monday in Miami-Dade and Broward counties reportedly sent several people to the hospital.
Authorities in the region urged riders multiple times to stay off the roads. Last week, they vowed to enforce a zero-tolerance policy for individuals who break the law.
