‘We Will Get To You,’ Florida Surgeon General Dr. Scott Rivkees On Vaccine Roll Out

Florida Surgeon General Dr. Scott Rivkees has urged the federal government to rethink its distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine so that states with large populations of seniors who are at high-risk are given priority.

Florida has 4.4 million residents who are at least 65 years old — the second-highest of any state.

As it stands, the federal government is distributing vaccines based on a state’s adult population.
