MIAMI-DADE COUNTY — The Fourth of July is here in the Miami area. As you prepare to celebrate the birth of our nation with family and friends, it’s important to note what will be open Monday.

Many local facilities and government offices will close on the holiday.

Miami-Dade County Government Offices: Closed Monday

Miami-Dade County Solid Waste Management: Garbage and trash will not be picked up Monday. Recycling collection will take place as regularly scheduled Monday. Administrative offices; all neighborhood trash and recycling centers; central, west and northeast regional transfer stations; all home chemical collection centers; and the North Dade Landfill will close Monday. The South Dade Landfill and the Resources Recovery Facility will be open.

Miami-Dade County Transit: The Metrorail and Metromover will operate on a weekend schedule and the Metrobus will operate on a Sunday schedule. All administrative offices will be closed Monday.

Miami-Dade County Public Library System: Closed Monday

Department of Health in Miami-Dade County: Closed Monday

County Clerk and Comptroller’s Office: Closed Monday

Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court: Closed Monday

County Parks & Beaches: Open Monday

City of Miami Administrative Offices: Closed Monday

City of Miami Garbage & Recycling: Operating on a normal schedule.

Post Offices: Closed Monday. The U.S. Postal Service will also not deliver mail Monday.
