What’s Open, Closed In Miami On Memorial Day 2021

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL — While Memorial Day is a holiday viewed by many throughout Bradenton and across America as the start of summer, it’s more importantly a day of remembrance for all American lives lost during military service.

For this reason, many government services, departments and buildings close in observance of Memorial Day.

Here’s a comprehensive list of what’s open and closed in Miami-Dade County Monday:

Miami-Dade County Government Offices: Closed Monday

Miami-Dade County Solid Waste Management: Garbage and recycling will be picked up on a normal schedule Monday and all disposal facilities will observe normal operating hours. Administrative offices are closed.

Miami-Dade County Transit: The Metrobus, Metrorail and Metromover will operate on a Sunday schedule.

Miami-Dade County Public Schools: Closed Monday

Miami-Dade County Public Library System: Closed Monday

Department of Health in Miami-Dade County: Closed Monday

County Clerk and Comptroller’s Office: Closed Monday

Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court: Closed Monday

County Parks & Beaches: Open Monday

City of Miami Administrative Offices: Closed Monday

City of Miami Garbage & Recycling: Operating on a normal schedule.

Post Offices: Closed Monday. The U.S. Postal Service will also not deliver mail Monday.
