5 Hotels in Miami Beach, 3 in Miami Earn Gold Rankings
U.S. News & World Report's 2017 Best Hotels also awarded Silver designations to a number of Miami area hotels.

MIAMI BEACH — Five city hotels earned top honors in U.S. News & World Report's 2017 Best Hotels released on Thursday. The rankings evaluated more than 3,000 luxury hotels across the United States, Caribbean, Canada and Mexico.
The city of Miami had three hotels that earned top honors in the annual rankings.
With five hotels earning the magazine's Gold Badge designation, Miami Beach finished in a four-way tie for fifth place among U.S. cities with top rankings along with Orlando, Maui and Honolulu.

The Miami Beach hotels to earn the Gold Badge designation include Acqualina Resort & Spa on the Beach, The St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort, The Setai, Faena Miami Beach and 1 Hotel South Beach.
Miami hotels that earned the Gold Badge designation include The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Mandarin Oriental and Four Seasons Hotel.

The rankings for the time include Havana, Cuba.
Miami Beach also finished with the fourth most ranked hotels of any city with 68 while Florida with 270 ranked hotels finished second among U.S. states in terms of the overall number of ranked hotels.
Gold Badge hotels in the U.S. are three times more likely to offer infinity pools, free fitness classes and free kids clubs than other ranked hotels, according to the magazine, which said that consumers are willing to pay up to 60 percent higher rates for those hotels than other properties.
Miami Beach also had 16 hotels that earned the magazine's Silver Badge while Miami had six, including two properties that carry the Trump name.
