Accused Killer Of 3-Year-Old Denied Bond: Report

The man accused of killing his girlfriend's 3-year-old has been denied bond, according to reports.

MIAMI BEACH, FL — Denny Llopiz, the man accused of killing his girlfriend's 3-year-old daughter Friday, has been denied bond, according to reports. Llopiz faces a first-degree murder charge for allegedly beating the child to death.

The toddler girl was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where she died. "It has been determined the child sustained blunt force trauma which was consistent to being inflicted within a few hours prior to her death," Miami Beach police said.

According to court documents, first responders found the child in the main living area of the studio apartment that Llopiz shared with the girl and her mother, identified as Maria Lopez. The apartment is located in the 6900 block of Rue Vendome.

Police say Llopiz claimed to have found the toddler unresponsive in the shower after she "had deficated on herself." However, blunt-force trauma and other internal injuries were found by medical examiners.
