One of the nation's fastest-growing multicultural golf and lifestyle experiences returns to South Florida this Labor Day Weekend, as Urban Golf Weekend (UGW) brings five days of golf, business, networking, culture, and philanthropy to Miami from September 3–7, 2026.
Hosted at Eden Roc Miami Beach and Miami Beach Golf Club, the annual event draws professionals, entrepreneurs, executives, creatives, and golf enthusiasts from across the United States, generating economic impact and creating opportunities through the game of golf.
More than a sporting event, Urban Golf Weekend has become a national platform where golf, business, leadership, entrepreneurship, and community engagement intersect. Attendees can choose from the Non-Golfer Weekend Pass, the Golfer Weekend Pass, or the VIP Upgrade Pass, each offering experiences designed for golfers and non-golfers alike.
Driving Opportunity Beyond the Fairway
At the heart of the event is the Urban Golf Foundation, Inc., the nonprofit philanthropic arm of Urban Golf Weekend. The 501(c)(3) organization uses golf to expand access to mentorship, education, scholarships, workforce development, and community engagement.
Urban Golf Weekend is the Foundation's signature fundraiser, supporting HBCU golf scholarships, youth golf initiatives, mentorship programs, and partnerships that introduce more young people and families to the game. Over the past four years, Urban Golf Weekend and the Urban Golf Foundation have invested more than $50,000 in scholarships and youth programs.
From Charity Tournament to National Platform
Urban Golf Weekend was founded by Clifton Addison, who,, after being introduced to the sport through the nonprofit Fore Life. envisioned golf as a gateway to opportunity. Seeking to expand access to golf while fostering business relationships and leadership development, Addison partnered with Woody Remy, Founder and President of Brainstorm Miami, to build what has become one of the country's premier multicultural golf and lifestyle experiences.
Today, Urban Golf Weekend continues to celebrate sports, business, culture, and community while supporting the Urban Golf Foundation's year-round mission.
