SOBE Shows Its Gay Pride
The annual event brought a colorful parade, celebrities and music to Miami Beach.

(Story updated on Monday at 2:30 a.m.) MIAMI BEACH, FL — With celebrities, politicians, over-the-top floats, more than a few feathers and lots of skin, the 2017 Gay Pride Week came to a close on Sunday after one last daylong display of diversity.
The highlight of the event was Sunday's colorful parade along Ocean Drive. The Miami Beach Gay Pride Parade featured antique vehicles, dancers and vibrant floats with celebrities like funnyman Ross Mathews of "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," who served as the celebrity grand marshal.

Mathews was joined by fellow celebs "Uncle” Johnny Pool, who served as advocate marshal. Liebe & Seth Gadinsky served as ally marshals.

Special guest Bebe Rexha got the crowd on its feet during a weekend VIP event hosted by Elvis Duran of Y100.

The event also featured a beach party with international DJs, exhibitors, community booths, a family fun zone, food vendors and cash bars.
