Indian Creek Road Work Starts on Monday

Traffic will be detoured onto Collins Avenue at 27 Street.

MIAMI BEACH, FL — The southbound lanes of Indian Creek Drive will be closed for an entire month at 27 Street starting on Monday.

Drivers traveling south on Indian Creek Drive will be detoured east on 27 Street then south on Collins Avenue while the detours are in effect.

Workers are installing a new storm water drainage system, including a pump station near 32 Street. They are also upsizing sections of the existing storm water drainage system and rebuilding the public sea wall between 26 Street and 41 Street.

Roadway improvements include:

  • Elevating the roadway.
  • Constructing new curb, gutter and sidewalks.
  • Installing new signage and pavement markings.
  • Installing new street lighting and performing minor signalization work.
  • Matching the new roadway elevation to existing driveways.

Access to properties will be maintained at all times but on-street parking will be unavailable during the work.
