Lane Closures Expected in Miami Beach
The Florida Department of Transportation is conducting a drainage improvement project that is likely to affect traffic in Miami Beach.

MIAMI BEACH, FL — Expect lane closures and detours this week along State Road 934/Normandy Drive and 71 Street between Trouville Esplanade and Rue Bordeaux. The Florida Department of Transportation is scheduled to begin a drainage improvement project in the area. Residents are advised to allow extra time for their commute.
Here is the expected schedule for lane closures:
- 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weekdays and weekends
- 9:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., Sunday through Thursday nights
- 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., Friday and Saturday nights

Workers are replacing the curb and gutter, driveways and sidewalk to re-establish drainage flow patterns. They will be milling and resurfacing and removing trees and roots as needed.
