Police Need Help to Find 'Bucket' Thieves

The victim met the suspects at South Beach nightclub Twist.

MIAMI BEACH — Police are asking for the public's help to identify two men who who allegedly stole electronics, jewelry and cash from a 43-year-old man they befriended at a South Beach nightclub.

The men were seen entering and leaving the victim's apartment building in the 1700 block of Washington Avenue in the early morning hours of Oct. 7, 2016. They are described as black males between 30-35 years of age, approximately 6 feet tall. One of the subjects had dreadlocks.

"The male victim met the two subjects at Club Twist and later returned to his apartment with the subjects," according to Ernesto Rodriguez of the Miami Beach Police Department. "The subject fell asleep. When he woke up, he observed several items missing, including cash, cell phones and an iPad."

Police said the suspects may have carried the items out of the apartment in a cleaning bucket they grabbed on the way out.

The victim was identified as Noel H. Blenman, who told police that the suspects escaped with approximately $2,500 in cash, $500 in jewelry and $1,600 in electronics.
