MIAMI BEACH, FL — Police detained three people in a red Mustang on Wednesday after they received a 9-1-1 call that someone in the vehicle had fired a gun into the air.
Ernesto Rodriguez of the Miami Beach Police Department told Patch that police received the call at 6:30 p.m. The caller said that the gun was discharged near 41 Street and Indian Creek Drive.

"A vehicle matching that description was located shortly after near Lincoln Road and Washington Avenue," he said. "Three occupants of that vehicle have been detained and transported to MBPD for interviews."
Rodriguez said that a firearm was found inside the Mustang.

"We have no reports of injuries," he added. "Officers are attempting to locate the possible crime scene."
