Former Marlin Antonio Alfonseca continues to inspire the next generation through Marlins Nike RBI (mlb.com) β Miramar's Everglades High School is benefiting from the experience of former Marlins pitcher Antonio Alfonseca, who now serves as the team's pitching coach. Alongside his role with Marlins Nike RBI, he's helping South Florida teens develop skills and confidence on and off the field. The free program supports baseball and softball players ages 13 to 18 across the region.

Miramar Man Pleads Guilty to Federal Child Exploitation Charges (justice.gov) β A 23-year-old Miramar resident has pleaded guilty in federal court to serious online child exploitation charges, with sentencing set for November 23 in Gainesville. Investigators say he targeted a 12-year-old and contacted more than 30 minors across social media. Parents in Miramar are urged to stay vigilant about children's online activity as federal authorities stress ongoing enforcement efforts.
