Hall emphasizes pride, discipline, and representing Moore Haven well as the team prepares to host Fort Meade in a key district home game on Oct. 9.
   

• FDOT and SCFE partner to promote rail safety ahead of harvest season (lakeonews.com) — State transportation officials and South-Central Florida Express are ramping up rail-crossing safety outreach as harvest season brings more trains and drivers near Moore Haven. After two serious crashes at the U.S. 27 crossing northwest of town in 2022 and 2023, they're urging local motorists to stay alert, obey gates and signals, and allow extra travel time this fall.
   

• Georgia Lilly Veale Dies At 86 (blogspot.com) — Family and friends in the Moore Haven and Clewiston area are mourning the passing of 86-year-old Georgia Lilly Veale, a longtime Clewiston businesswoman remembered for her generosity and love of family. With a son living in Moore Haven, her life will be celebrated at visitation, funeral, and graveside services in Clewiston on September 25 and 26.
