3 Missing Boaters Found Safe After Boat Found Disabled Off Hudson

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — Three people found safe after being reported missing off the coast of New Port Richey early Friday morning.

The U.S. Coast Guard station in Sand Key responded and found their disabled boat about 30 miles off the coast of Hudson.

Chance Mercier, Alex Miller and Lydia Douglas were last seen getting on a 21-foot white and blue recreational boat at 2:40 a.m.

The Coast Guard later learned that the three boaters had been picked up and taken to shore by a good Samaritan.
