89-Year-Old Man Killed In Crash At Lacey Road and CR 587

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — An 89-year-old New Port Richey man has died following an accident Friday morning.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 9:59 a.m., the 89-year-old man was traveling west on Lacey Road and stopped at a stop sign at the intersection of County Road 587. He then proceeded into the intersection where he crashed into a car driven by a 29-year-old Spring Hill woman who was heading north on CR 587.

The man died at the scene. The woman sustained serious injuries.
