Free Movie Friday featured "Breakfast at Tiffany's"

The sun had set at , and Holly Golightly stared over her sunglasses at an audience seated on the grass, blankets or lawn chairs.  

At least 30 people had gathered Friday for a showing of the 1961 classic “Breakfast at Tiffany’s,” and they watched the adventures of one of Audrey Hepburn's most memorable characters, adapted from a novella by Truman Capote, projected onto a screen at the Sims Park stage.

Free Movie Fridays are planned by New Port Richey's Cultural Affairs Advisory Committee, and they run on the third Friday of every month between October and April. Friday’s event featured a performance by Dave Eichenberger, a guitarist, before the movie.

Couples and families sat on the ground as dusk set in, relaxing or playing with a child. The sun went down, the movie began and the audience watched the antics of Hepburn, George Peppard and Mickey Rooney.
