
The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office is investigating what it has classified as an apparent accidental shooting that occurred in Hudson early Thursday morning.
According to the agency, deputies were called to a home at 12324 Kitten Trail after a gunshot was fired. The victim, identified as Michael Stroehlein-Toro, 21, and his girlfriend had been in an argument, the agency wrote in an email.
Stroehlein-Toro went outside and fired a shotgun into the air, deputies noted.

“After firing the shotgun he sustained a wound to the neck,” the email said. “There is no indication of foul play or suicide attempt at this time.”
Stroehlein-Toro was taken to Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point for treatment. Deputies say he was alert, talking and never lost consciousness. Complete details about how his was injured are not yet available. Investigators say Stroehlein-Toro was being uncooperative.
