NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — The opening of Pasco Middle School's new Innovation Lab last week would have been a knock-out regardless. But the chance to play ping-pong with WWE Superstar Titus O'Neil made the event one to remember for middle school students.
In addition to his larger-than-life presence in the world of pro wrestling, O’Neil, whose non-wrestling name is Thaddeus Bullard, is known for his philanthropic efforts.
Last year, he approached Pasco County Schools with a proposal to partner with the school district to help kids. That partnership has resulted in the creation of Innovation Labs at Gulf Middle School and Pasco Middle School.
All the equipment, furniture and electronic devices for the two labs were donated by Skanska and Microsoft in partnership with the Bullard Family Foundation.
The new Innovation Labs will provide opportunities for students to learn and play in a safe and fun environment during and after school.
