• Happening Now: Investigation Underway After Human Remains Found In New Port Richey (tampafp.com) — Human remains were discovered Tuesday near Oreto Drive and Ridge Road in New Port Richey, prompting a Pasco Sheriff’s Office death investigation and a heavy law enforcement presence. Deputies say there’s no apparent public safety threat but are urging residents to avoid the immediate area while they process the scene and await medical examiner findings.    

• Construction begins on 224-unit New Port Richey apartments (tbbwmag.com) — A major new apartment community, Charleston Ridge Apartments, is now under construction at 9949 Elyton Loop in New Port Richey, bringing 224 units plus townhomes and ground-floor retail by 2027. The project will add much-needed rental options, modern amenities like EV charging and smart locks, and new commercial space as Pasco County’s population and job growth continue to push north.
