1. Palm Harbor Woman Killed In Crash In Pasco County (patch.com) — A deadly pedestrian crash in Trinity involved a Jeep driven by a 45-year-old New Port Richey woman, according to state troopers. The Palm Harbor pedestrian, 68, was struck while crossing Epiphany Way near Tryfon Boulevard Friday afternoon and died at the scene, prompting an ongoing investigation.    

2. Pasco County Sheriff's Office searching for missing endangered woman last seen in New Port Richey (tampabay28.com) — Pasco County deputies are asking New Port Richey residents to help locate 42-year-old Julie Schrock, last seen Friday afternoon in the Plathe Road area. She’s described as 5-foot-2, about 230 pounds, with black hair and hazel eyes, wearing a light shirt and faded light pajamas, and anyone with information is urged to call the sheriff’s non-emergency line or submit an online tip.    

3. Tampa Bay is deep in drought. Is development adding to our water woes? (tampabay.com) — New Port Richey residents are part of a Tampa Bay water system facing severe drought, tighter restrictions, and rising demand as development booms across the region. Officials say long-term growth, thirsty lawns, and sprawling subdivisions are stressing supplies, while agencies push conservation, reclaimed water, and new infrastructure projects to keep taps flowing in coming decades.    

4. Snodgrass secures spot in record book, takes overall lead at 2026 USBC Queens (bowl.com) — New Port Richey’s own Taylor Bulthuis is sitting in third place at the prestigious USBC Queens tournament in Las Vegas, keeping Pasco County firmly in the national bowling spotlight. Michigan’s Jordan Snodgrass leads the 199-player field after a record-book qualifying performance, with match play and televised finals still ahead as competitors battle for a $60,000 top prize.
