PASCO COUNTY, FL — A Pasco County man was arrested for driving under the influence after a Florida Highway Patrol trooper stopped him for speeding on Interstate 75, authorities said.
The traffic stop occurred around 10:45 p.m. on Friday near mile marker 280 in Pasco County.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a trooper patrolling northbound on I-75 stopped a Honda Civic after they clocked it going more than 90 mph as it passed the patrol vehicle.
During the stop, the trooper determined the driver, 33-year-old Conor William Parady of San Antonio, was heavily intoxicated and found 34 open alcohol containers inside the vehicle.
Parady was arrested and taken to the Pasco County Jail. Authorities said he recorded a blood alcohol concentration of 0.177, more than twice Florida's legal limit of 0.08.
