Bank Robber Leaves Empty-Handed; Anyone Recognize Him?

New Port Richey Police are seeking information on a man who attempted to rob the Chase Bank Wednesday.

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — New Port Richey Police are seeking information on a man who attempted to rob the Chase Bank Wednesday.

On Oct. 21 at 4:20 p.m., a man walked into the Chase Bank at 5029 U.S. 19 and passed a note to the teller demanding at least $2,000. The teller refused to give him money and the man left the bank.

He is described as a Hispanic or light-skinned Black man in his 30s to 40s, soft-spoken with a thin build, 5 feet 4 inches to 5 feet 6 inches tall and hazel eyes.

He was wearing light-colored baggy pants, a white dress shirt, a black tie, a brown duckbill cap, a dark-colored mask and dark dress shoes.
