NEW PORT RICHEY, FL – Pasco County Sheriff's deputies are investigating a burglary at the Dollar General store during the early morning hours of Jan. 30. According to sheriff's reports, deputies responded to a call from the manager of the store at 9130 State Road 52, New Port Richey, shortly after 6 a.m. The manager arrived to open the store for the day and discovered the front door had been forced open and the glass panel on the cigarette display shattered. The burglary stole about 180 single packs of cigarettes valued at more than $1,125. The store manager said she drove by the store on her way to buy coffee at about 5:50 a.m. and heard an alarm but didn't realize it was her store alarm. By the time she arrived at the store, the burglar had turned off the outside breaker, disabling the alarm system. The store doesn't have security cameras.Image via Pasco County Sheriff
