Doing the Dirty Dubstep at Shananigans

The Irish pub is bringing the electronic bass every month.

Irish Pub on Little Road showcases futuristic bass music the third Monday of each month.

The musical guest of honor, Jake Dubber, who goes by the handle Shock To The System, has been performing live dubstep sets at Shananigans for their new Monday night "Dirty Dubstep" monthly event since its inception since June.

Dubstep is a form of electronic dance music dominated by heavy sub bass lines.

For the past three months, bartender Diana Deville has served up some of the best drink specials around for "Dirty Dubstep Shenanigans" which happens to fall on hospitality night. Along with slinging drinks behind the bar, Deville has also been a key factor in getting the dubstep night off the ground.

Patrons lined the bar and played pool while dubstep with a pinch of drum and bass pounded out of the bar's sound system throughout the night until 2 a.m. Dubber took the audience on a musical odyssey that lasted hours and included some exclusive original tracks he has been working on for an upcoming tour.

"Dirty Dubstep Shananigans" is the only place to hear the dubstep sound near New Port Richey at the moment, and, with the rising popularity of electronic music in the U.S., the monthly event only looks to grow.

The dirty dubstep starts at 9 p.m. at Shananigans (8404 Little Road, New Port Richey) on the third Monday of every month and is free.
