On Friday, June 3, Krispy Kreme doughnut chain is giving away free doughnuts to commemorate National Doughnut Day. For all of you trivia buffs out there, the Salvation Army actually started National Doughnut Day back in 1938.
The free doughnut deal is good for any variety of doughnut, and is limited to one free doughnut per customer. Customers who use the drive-thru are limited to two free doughnuts per car.
The closest open Krispy Kreme to New Port Richey is a straight shot south in Palm Harbor. It will also be offering some other specials. Customers who purchase a dozen doughnuts, will have the chance to win a Golden Ticket that allows the winner to receive one dozen free doughnuts, once a month, for a year.

Each Krispy Kreme store will be giving away 3 of the Golden Tickets. Each ticket will be placed in a different box of one dozen doughnuts available for purchase at the store.
Other specials include BOGO drinks, buy one drink and get a second one for free. Drinks in this special offer include small iced coffee $1.59, large iced coffee $2.15, small chiller $2.89, large chiller $3.69, small iced latte $2.49, medium iced latte $2.99, large iced latte $3.49.
