Driver Identified in Holiday Hit-and-Run

The crash sent a 4-month-old baby to the hospital.

The Florida Highway Patrol thinks it knows who was behind a July 26 hit-and-run in Holiday that sent a mother and her infant son to the hospital.

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Damian Ray Eagan, 28, of Holiday for leaving the scene of a traffic crash with injuries. Egan is believed to have been the driver who struck a family that was outside taking a walk the afternoon of July 26.

According to a highway patrol media release, Dakota and Jordan Harwood, both 17, were walking Cincinnati Drive in Holiday with their son Jayson. Dakota was pushing the baby’s stroller when a car traveling south on Chatlin Drive collided with him. The impact pushed Dakota into Jordan and caused the stroller to overturn. The baby fell onto the road.

The driver of the car initially stopped, but then drove away. Jayson and Jordan were both treated for minor injuries.
