2012 Chasco Fiesta: Native American Pow Wow and Festival

The nine-day Chasco Fiesta offers a variety of family fun and entertainment -- including nightly concerts, a boat parade, and a street parade -- along the banks of the Pithlachascotee River.

This traditional Native American festival and pow wow features dancers come from all over the country, performing in categories such as Golden Age Men and Women, Adult Men and Women, and Juniors and Teens. There also will be educational shows about the Native American culture, as well as vendors with authentic Native American arts and crafts.

Here's today's schedule:

10am: Native American vendors open
11:30am: Warrior on Horseback presentation
1pm: Grand entry of dancers, followed by the second round of competition for teens and adults, audience participation and possible tie breakers.
4pm: Warrior on Horseback presentation
5pm: Announcement of winners
