Cotee River Seafood & Blues Festival

The Cotee River Seafood & Blues Festival is a weekend-long event produced by the Greater New Port Richey Main Street organization in Sims Park on the banks of the Cotee River.

The setting only serves to enhance the combination of seafood and music in the park. The event will offer a wide variety of quality seafood including made-to-order sushi and fresh seafood, as well as the newest fad in fast food, the Food Trucks.

There is also a boat show planned, including kayak and fly-fishing demonstrations, plus other outdoor sporting activities for the entire family.

The Blues Festival will feature local bands, national recording artists and student musicians. The music begins Friday with a Happy Hour concert from 4pm to 8pm featuring Thunderbolt Blues Band and Time Bandits. Headlining Friday night is Kathy Jo and Bluezification sponsored by Oldies 106.3.

Saturday's entertainment will begin at 1pm with the Fresh Catch, three bands chosen by popular vote through a talent search sponsored by Cocktail's. Early evening features the amazing guitar sounds of John Leavell (formerly of Uriah Heep), followed by RJ Howson and Josh Lamkin. The night's headliner is recording artist and local favorite Sean Chambers. Sean will continue to play at an after-party beginning at 11p at Cocktail's.
