In this series, we will explore both drawing and watercolor techniques.

It will be our objective to encourage observation skills and the creative process unique to each child.
Drawing From Your Imagination.
We will observe discuss and practice drawing techniques used by gallery artists. On the second day students will select a favorite sketch of theirs and work on completing a simple drawing in preparation for watercolor (week 2). Inspiration may come from music, photos, experience or completely from the imagination.
Let’s kick it up with color
We will begin this week by learning to transfer our drawing to watercolor paper. Once completed, we will discuss primary and secondary colors and color mixing. Students will select a color palette for their drawings and begin to paint. This will be largely a learn by doing day.
