with Guest Poet Wayne S. Williams!

Wayne was born just outside of Cleveland Ohio in 1953.  He's now a long time Tampa Bay area resident, who recently released his first book of poetry called “The Trunk.”  Wayne is also the founder and host of Poets Live!, an open mic venue which has met continuously since March of 2006, at 6:30pm, every 2nd Monday of the month at the Largo Public Library.  Of his poetic style, Williams agrees with poets who say that one should create work in the voice of their time. And so, his poetry is free verse, lyric, sometimes imagist – never in  classic forms, and no matter how controversial, a reflection of the realities in his life.
