Firefighters Battle 2-Acre Brush Fire In New Port Richey
Pasco County Fire Rescue and the Forestry Service are on the scene of a brush fire that has burned approximately two acres so far.
NEW PORT RICHEY, FL -- Pasco County Fire Rescue and the Forestry Service are on the scene of a brush fire that has burned approximately two acres so far.
The fire is near Starkey Boulevard and Rangeland Boulevard, just north of Longleaf subdivision.
Fire rescue issued the alert just after 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Pasco Fire Rescue spokesman Corey Dierdorff said no homes are in danger at this time. However, nearby residents can expect smoke for a couple of hours.
The Forestry Service has brought in two tractors to assist firefighters in putting out the fire.
