Holiday Man Accused Of Shoving Pizza Into Father's Face

A 33-year-old Holiday man was arrested for domestic battery after he reportedly shoved a hot, freshly delivered pizza into his father's face

HOLIDAY, FL -- A 33-year-old Holiday man was arrested for domestic battery after he reportedly shoved a hot, freshly delivered pizza into his father's face.

When asked the reason for throwing the pizza, Robert Houston told a Pasco County Sheriff's deputy that he was angry after finding out that his father helped deliver him at 33 years ago.

According to the sheriff's office, on Thursday, Jan. 4, the father was walking his dogs outside his home in the 3000 block of Hoover Drive while his son was on the porch waiting for a pizza he had ordered.

The victim said he took his dogs back inside and, moments later, his son walked in and shoved the just-delivered pizza in his face. Houston then reportedly held his father down in a chair and began yelling at him about the circumstances of his birth, which, for unknown reasons, made him angry.

When the victim began struggling, Houston released him and went back outside to await sheriff's deputies.

When the deputy arrived, he said Houston walked up to him, put his hands behind his back to be cuffed and said he knew he was going to jail.

Upon entering the home, the deputy said he saw a slice of pizza laying on a chair and sauce and cheese strewn around the room. Two other family members corroborated the victim's account of events.

Houston was transported to the Land O' Lakes Detention Center.
