Holiday Motorcycle Crash Leads To Serious Injuries

The accident happened Wednesday morning on U.S. 19 near Beacon Square Drive.

HOLIDAY, FL — A 22-year-old Oldsmar man is in serious condition following a Wednesday morning motorcycle crash in Holiday.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Mary Konstas, 36, of Holiday was heading north on U.S. 19 just before 10:30 a.m. in a 1998 Dodge van. Konstas, a highway patrol report said, attempted to turn west onto Beach Square Drive and traveled into the path of a motorcycle heading southbound on U.S. 19.

The motorcycle and van collided, the patrol said. The motorcycle’s driver, Tyler Gonzalez, was thrown from the bike.

Gonzalez was taken to Bayonet Point Hospital with serious injuries, the report said. Konstas was not injured.

The crash remains under investigation with charges pending.
