Holiday Woman Injured in Hit-And-Run Crash
The Florida Highway Patrol is looking for help finding the other motorist.

A 51-year-old Holiday woman suffered minor injuries during a Friday hit-and-run crash and now the Florida Highway Patrol is on the hunt for the motorist who struck her.
According to the agency, Cheryl Ann Malave was heading northbound on U.S. 19 around 4:30 p.m. Friday when she was struck from behind. The patrol says Malave stopped for traffic near Mile Stretch Road when the vehicle behind her did not.
The two drivers, the highway patrol said, spoke briefly after the collision, but the man got back into his vehicle and fled the scene. That motorist is described as a heavy set white male who is between 5 feet, 4 inches and 5 feet, 8 inches in height. He was driving a Ford of Chevrolet work truck that was white. The truck had pipe racking attached to the bed and unknown lettering on its side. The vehicle has a Florida tag with the last digits identified as “405.”
