Hudson Man Charged With Shooting 4-Year-old With Air Soft Gun

HUDSON, FL—A 36-year-old Hudson man is facing child abuse charges after reportedly shooting pellets from an air soft gun at a 4-year-old boy Sunday.

According to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, Mark Cox of 16108 U.S. 19, Hudson, claimed he accidentally shot pellets at the child. He told deputies he thought the air soft gun was broken.

However, a witness told deputies that Cox shot the child because he would not follow instructions to sit down.

The child’s injuries did not require treatment.
