Hudson Man Killed After Striking Traffic Signal Pole

A 59-year-old Hudson man was killed Thursday after losing control of his pickup truck on the State Road 589 exit ramp to SR 52.

HUDSON, FL — A 59-year-old Hudson man was killed Thursday after losing control of his Chevy Avalanche pickup truck on the State Road 589 exit ramp leading to State Road 52.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at 11:52 a.m. After losing control, the driver collided with a light pole and a traffic control signal support pole.

He was taken to the hospital where he later died.
