'Inmate of the Month' Bumper Sticker Found During Drug Bust

Pasco County Sheriff's deputies came across the ironic find during a Tuesday synthetic marijuana bust.

Pasco County Sheriff’s deputies expected to find synthetic marijuana in the home at 6741 Pine Cherry Lane in Port Richey. After all, they had a signed search warrant from a judge to look for the illegal substance.

What they didn’t expect to find, however, was a rather ironic bumper sticker that reads, β€œMy child was Inmate of the Month at County Jail.”

A shot of the unusual find was posted on the agency’s Twitter feed along with a few words of explanation.

β€œ#Nocco. Detectives make large synthetic drug bust & find this @ the home. At least we know he will be a good inmate.”

The bust in question took place Tuesday afternoon. During a search of the home, deputies found 51 bags of spice, including 19 bags of β€œLOL;” seven bags of β€œDeadman;” five bags of β€œJoker;” six bags of β€œFairly Legal;” four bags of β€œAngry Bird;” three bags of β€œOMG;” two bags of β€œMr. Nice Guy;” two bags of β€œMr. Happy;” and a single bag of β€œWhite Tiger.”

There was also a plastic bag that contained about 80 grams of loose spice in the home, a digital scale, some marijuana and pipes, an arrest report stated.

Brandon Lee Brady, 21, and his roommate Blade Edward Russo, 19, were both charged in the case. Since the two share a bedroom, it’s unclear which one owned the bumper sticker.

Brady was charged with possession of spice, sale of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.

Russo was charged with possession of hallucinogenic drugs, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.

Both were taken to the Pasco County Jail in Land O’ Lakes where Brady has since bonded out, but Russo remained an inmate as of Thursday.

It remains unclear if the two were considered model inmates.
