Kids, Drugs Left in Woman's Car, Deputies Say

The woman was working inside a bar with two children left outside.

A 29-year-old New Port Richey woman faces child neglect charges after Pasco County deputies say she left two children inside her car while she worked inside a Trinity bar.

The incident that led to Tara Greenfield’s arrest unfolded Wednesday around 5:51 p.m. when deputies say she reported to work at the Brass Tap in Trinity. While Greenfield was inside, two children, ages 1 and 7, were left inside her running car, an email to media from the sheriff’s office said.

The kids were left inside the car for about two hours before deputies received an anonymous call, the email said.
