Man Charged In Port Richey Woman's Strangulation Death

The woman died following a November 2015 sexual encounter, Pasco County deputies say.

PORT RICHEY, FL — A 34-year-old man faces manslaughter charges in connection with a November 2015 death of a woman following an alleged sexual encounter.

According to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, Wilson Dean Konkle was brought into custody Thursday on manslaughter charges in relation to the Nov. 7, 2015, death of Brandy Lynn Dimick, 32. Deputies say Konkle and Dimick left Dimick’s birthday party together that night and went to her apartment at 8541 Congress St. in Port Richey.

“Inside the apartment, the pair engaged in sexual intercourse and at some point the victim died,” the sheriff’s office wrote in an email to media. The Pasco County Medical Examiner ruled the death a homicide by strangulation, the agency noted. The case was turned over to the State Attorney’s Office for review. That review was completed and a warrant was issued for Konkle’s arrest Thursday, April 14.
