Mom Tells Cops She's Her Daughter With Rare Aging Disease

The stunt cost her a trip to Florida's Indian River County Jail.

A 43-year-old Vero Beach woman remained behind bars Wednesday on a host of charges after getting pulled over by an Indian River County deputy.

Jennifer Renee Crosby was pulled over Saturday when a deputy noticed her vehicle’s tail lights weren’t working. With a prior arrest record and a suspended license, Crosby didn’t want to tell the officer her name. Instead, she told him she was her 22-year-old daughter, Fox News reported.

To explain the difference in her appearance and her stated age, Crosby proceeded to tell the officer she had “a medical condition that makes her age faster,” Fox reported.

The deputy, however, wasn’t buying it, Channel 10 reported.

As he questioned her further, Crosby finally admitted who she was.

Crosby now faces a number of charges, including driving on a suspended license, giving a false name to an officer, felony possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was being held in the Indian River County Jail Wednesday on $4,000 bond.

It seems Crosby is no stranger to the jail either. Records indicate she’s been arrested numerous times in the past on charges ranging from domestic battery to drug possession.
