NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — Pasco County Sheriff's deputies responded to the apparent drowning death of a 52-year-old man Wednesday.

Deputies found Juan Carlos Munoz-Valencia of 4252 Green Key Road face down in a canal behind his home after his wife call 911 around 9:15 a.m.

Nearly a year ago to the day, Munoz-Valencia nearly drowned in the same location but was rescued and resuscitated by a deputy.
