New Port Richey Man Killed In Crash
The fatal pedestrian accident occurred Thursday night along U.S. 19.

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — A 46-year-old man is dead following a Thursday night pedestrian crash on U.S. 19 near Trouble Creek Road.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Lyle Hammond, 45, of Holiday was heading south on U.S. 19 around 9:50 p.m. As Hammond’s Ford F150 approached the intersection with Trouble Creek Road, a pedestrian was heading westbound across the roadway.

Hammond collided with the man, identified as Steven Levesque, according to the highway patrol. Levesque died at the scene.
Charges are pending the outcome of the investigation. No further information is being released at this time.
