NPR Toddler Drowns In Neighbor's Swimming Pool

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL -- A 2-year-old boy has died after falling into a neighbor's swimming pool.

New Port Richey Police offers responded to a call about a missing toddler Tuesday, March 6 at about 6 p.m. at 5538 Senate Lane in the Executive Estates. Following a search of the area, they discovered the boy floating in a neighbor's swimming pool. Officers jumped into the water to retrieve the child and began CPR. The child was then airlifted to St. Joseph's Children's Hospital in Tampa where he was pronounced dead.
