Pasco County Storm Damage: Updates, Where To Report

Pasco County is sending assessment teams into neighborhoods to assist those impacted by flooding.

PASCO COUNTY, FL — Pasco County emergency management officials are hitting the streets Tuesday morning to help residents who suffered damage related to Tropical Storm Colin’s pass through the region Monday.

A total of 30 assessment teams have been assembled to fan out into neighborhoods affected by the storm. Their mission Tuesday is "to help citizens who might need assistance with things like water, food or help relocating due to flooding,” the county wrote in an email to media. “The teams will also inspect buildings and property for any damage.”

  • While the tropical storm warning has been canceled for the region, heavy rains are still possible with the potential of river flooding remaining through Wednesday
  • The county emergency operations center remains fully activated; a scale-down is expected by Tuesday afternoon
  • All county government offices, schools and bus routes were open Tuesday. The only exception involves the county’s recreation centers. Staff members have been deployed to help with storm damage assessments.
  • Utilities are reporting that electrical service has been restored to Pasco County homes and businesses affected by outages
  • All major roadways are open within Pasco County
  • A total of 30,000 sandbags have been given out

Pasco County’s customer service department fielded 1,124 calls related to Tropical Storm Colin.

Anyone with questions or with storm damage to report is asked to call 727-847-2411. People with emergencies should call 911.
