HUDSON, FL — A 55-year-old Hudson man is dead following a hit-and-run crash in the area of Fivay Road and U.S. 19.According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened near the intersection around 12:40 a.m. Saturday. Troopers say Mark Chapasko was walking when he was struck by a vehicle. That vehicle took off, leaving Chapasko injured.Chapasko was taken to Bayonet Point Medical Center, but died from his injuries.Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call the Florida Highway Patrol at 813-631-4020.No other information is available at this time.Photo courtesy of the Florida Highway Patrol
